Granuflo
GranuFlo and NaturaLyte are dialysis concentrates. Use of the concentrates increased the risk that dialysis patients would suffer cardiac problems, heart attack, stroke, sudden cardiac death, and others serious or fatal side effects.
GranuFlo and NaturaLyte cause a rapid and unsafe elevation in bicarbonates in the body. Within 24-hours after receiving these dialysis concentrates, patients face significantly increased risk of cardiopulmonary arrest. The consequences can be fatal.
In March of 2013, a recall was instituted because of the dangers to patients. The recall was designated a Class 1 recall by the FDA, which is reserved for situations where there is a high potential for death.
Lawyers are pursuing litigation on behalf of dialysis patients or surviving family members affected by GranuFlo and NaturaLyte side effects.
