Studies have linked Accutane use with forms of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Roche is the manufacturer of Accutane, and internal company documents dating back to 1994 reveal that numerous of reports of IBD were made to the company. Between 1997 and 2002, the Food and Drug Administration also received a significant number of adverse event reports. Affected patients are pursuing claims with the help of class action attorneys.
