As a point of comparison, regular Cheerios has 3 grams of protein per serving and 1 gram of sugar, while Cheerios protein contains 7 grams of protein and 17 grams of sugar. General Mills even went so far as to change the serving size on the box of Cheerios Protein. When everything is evened out, and we compare apples to apples, the new Cheerios Protein has only a single additional gram of protein per serving than the plain old Cheerios.
